Olivia Ooms
With the mature vocals and songwriting prowess of an old soul, 18-year-old Olivia Ooms continues to make her mark through her new single "Name on This Town." The inspiring, energizing song follows Ooms’ latest single “Hideaway,” which was selected by Billboard for First Country and spent several weeks on Spotify’s New Music Nashville playlist. Ooms co-wrote “Name on This Town” with ACM Award winner Jamie O’Neal who also produced the track as well as “Hideaway,” “Baggage” and “California Country.” Described by Billboard as "infectious" and added to CMT's Next Up Now series, "California Country'' combined Ooms' coastal roots and southern sound. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native, who serves as a brand ambassador for Ovation Guitar Company's Californian SR1 model, is currently enrolled at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Praised by the Los Angeles Times for "passionate lyrics paired with a distinctive pop-country sound," Ooms' debut single, "Thoughts of You,'' landed her a spot in CMT's Artist Discovery Program, a performance on CMA's Spotlight Stage and placement as the first female country artist featured on Radio Disney's RDYou Station. Her passion for country music is evident in every performance from opening for Lady A and Old Dominion at Coastal Country Jam to sharing the stage with country music icon Tanya Tucker, whose path Ooms can certainly relate to as a young songstress making waves in the music industry.
